Cleaning Methods

Dry Cleaning

For luxury materials, professionals deliver best results. We recommend dry cleaning for consistency:

• Research dry cleaners thoroughly and ask about their process

• Mention heat sensitivity to prevent shrinkage

• Clean all slipcover components together for even wear

Machine Washing

Many customers successfully wash at home:

• Avoid machines with agitators (damages fabrics)

• Use cold water, gentle cycle, mild detergent without brighteners

• Close all zippers

• Wash components together

• Never overload—wash separately in small loads

Spot Cleaning

Hand-dyed fabrics have limitations:

• Always dab—never rub

• Absorb liquid spills immediately with white cloth

• Scrape thick spills with spoon

• Never spot clean: Light Weight Linen, Medium Weight Linen, Washed Cotton Linen

Drying

Machine drying shrinks natural fibers:

• Air-dry until barely damp

• Tumble briefly on no-heat/low-heat to fluff fibers

• Cotton Linen: Spot clean with mild dish soap. For Pacific Pearl (white) or oil stains: Use enzymatic cleaner sparingly.

• Light Weight Linen: Hand pigment-dyed—no spot cleaning. Avoid protective coatings to preserve texture.

• Medium Weight Linen: No spot cleaning. Pet claws may snag loose weave. Minor shrinkage normal—fabric relaxes in days.

• Recycled Faux Fur: Machine-washable. Spot cleaning often avoids full wash. Never tumble dry. Air-dry fully, then use hairdryer + soft brush to align nap.

• Recycled Poly Weave: Our most versatile performer. Spot cleans easily, machine-washable, dry-cleanable. Linen-like texture from recycled polyester.

• Thread-Dyed Cotton Linen: Yarn-dyed for colorfastness. Spot cleanable—check care card for color-specific instructions.

• Washed Cotton Linen: Delicate gauze blend. Hand pigment-dyed—spot cleaning pulls dye, causing discoloration.

• Washed Cotton Velvet: Machine-washable and spot-cleanable. Use soft brush to restore nap. Follow color-specific care instructions.

• Meridian Leather: Brush regularly with soft bristles. For ground-in dirt: Use leather-specific coarse brush. Avoid moisture. Sunlight causes natural fading.
